I rarely use Twitter and always saw fame as a net liability.
Since it’s easier to connect with a face than a logo, in the early days of building Trends.vc, I led the effort with my personal brand.
Micro-fame is cool. Being known in an environment such as Founder Summit.
But we don’t often think about what comes with general fame.

What’s your most important habit?
My morning routine.
It takes about an hour and involves prayer, breathing exercises, journaling, and stretching. My morning routine puts me in the right frame of mind to accomplish great things.
What are you reading right now?
The Growth Mindset Workbook
I’m a psychologist, so I keep up-to-date with practical research. The need for a growth mindset almost sounds like a cliché in 2022. This book actually offers actionable strategies to achieve it.
What product or service do you wish existed?
A notes management tool I enjoy using. I’ve tried many of them, but I suspect that personal knowledge management depends heavily on what suits your needs and tastes, so I will probably have to build my own solution.
What product are you obsessively using right now?
I use MarketMuse almost every day. It’s a content optimization suite that speeds up my research process and helps my team create helpful and unique content.
What are you bearish on?
I’m bearish on the social convention of tolerating a job you don’t enjoy only because it pays the bills. I don’t want to dissociate how I make a living from the things I genuinely love.
